Starch has been used for decades as one of the best-known excipients in various pharmaceutical formulations. Using the latest technology, Roquette manufactures various starches from maize (corn), wheat & potatoes and transforms them into essential and high-quality excipients for the pharmaceutical industry.
The Powdered NF family is a highly refined unmodified corn starch, with different moisture contents for specific formulation needs. The 400L NF corn starch and the Powdered GP USP corn starches are bleached to give an exceptionally white starch with uniform particle size.

Properties
The Powdered NF family is a highly refined unmodified corn starch, which can be selected with 13.5%, 10% or 7.5% maximum moisture content for specific formulation needs. - Starch 400L NF and Powdered GP USP corn starches are bleached to give an exceptionally white starch with uniform particle size
- All starches undergo systematic microbiological testing as recommended by the USP/NF
Applications
- Powdered NF: filler, binder, disintegrant and dusting powder.
- Starch 400L NF: diluent, carrier or binder in compressed tablets, dusting powders where extreme whiteners or absence of color is required.
- Powdered GP USP: topical starch dusting powder
