For more than 20 years, Roquette has produced a sodium starch glycolate used as a superdisintegrant: GLYCOLYS®. Roquette’s tested technology has enabled it to expand its range of GLYCOLYS®’s derivatives and adapt them to the pharmaceutical industry: GLYCOLYS® (standard grade), GLYCOLYS® Low pH (acid stable), GLYCOLYS® LV (low viscosity).
Rigorous and optimized processes are the key to the manufacture of GLYCOLYS® at Roquette‘s plant in Lestrem. The corresponding DMF was registered at the US FDA in November 2003.
