Roquette Pharma, a longstanding supplier of high-quality raw materials and excipients for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications, will be showcasing a selection of its key product ranges at CPhI Worldwide, Messe Frankfurt, Germany, September 30 – October 2 2008, stand 60D05. Roquette develops ingredients and excipients from natural harvests such as wheat, maize, pea and potatoes. Roquette offers a comprehensive product portfolio, ranging from starches and sugars to speciality products including polyols and cyclodextrins.

New on Roquette’s stand at CPhI will be ReadiLYCOAT
TM. Roquette recently has announced a European strategic partnership with Biogrund for the development of ReadiLYCOAT™, a new ready-to-use film coating platform for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications. Utilising Roquette’s new starch-based film coating polymer LYCOAT
®, ReadiLYCOAT™ has opened the way for a series of remarkable advances in film coating. Most notably, ReadiLYCOAT
TM offers a dramatic reduction in coating time and does not affect the dissolution and stability, regardless of the API. Roquette’s LYCOAT
® is an aqueous film coating polymer which ensures low viscosity dispersions at a high solids content. Its excellent film integrity and adhesion qualities provide additional advantages.
PEARLITOL® mannitol: an excipient of choice for stable formulations
Among the product brands shown on stand 60D05 will be PEARLITOL®, Roquette’s mannitol range. With very low hygroscopicity and exceptional chemical stability, PEARLITOL® mannitol offers the ideal solution in excipients for stable formulations. In addition, PEARLITOL® offers grades for a wide range of applications from classical tablets and capsules to sachets.
KLEPTOSE® betacyclodextrins: increased solubilisation power, high biological tolerance
Also showcased on stand 60D05 will be Roquette’s KLEPTOSE®, a second generation range of modified betacyclodextrins. Together with different substituted betacyclodextrins, the KLEPTOSE® range caters for the specific needs of the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry. The pioneering Roquette range offers several advantages including the possibility of increased solubilisation power while maintaining a high biological tolerance.
